Decemberists Side-shows
After the release of their epic folk-opera The Hazards of Love the Decemberists are coming to Australia for the first time. They will be playing the Big Day Out(yay!) as well as a couple of sideshows which are:
Tuesday 19 January – The Metro Theatre, Sydney
Sunday 24 January – Billboard, Melbourne
Tickets are on sale now.
I gotta say, I tried The Hazards Of Love but it didn’t grab me much. Which is odd, because I heard “16 Military Wives” a while ago and thought it was just awesome. But they are pretty cool altogether.
The Hazards of Love is a bit of an aquired taste,however I must admit that I do have a soft spot for singers who like to use too many words.
You might like their earlier stuff better as it isn’t as concepty
